Objectifs

Learn to speak French quickly in everyday situations
Obtain the A1 level in 4 to 8 weeks and be able to communicate exchanging basic information while traveling or in your everylife in France
learn to speak French with a fun method including lots of practice !

Programme

A 10-hour group course in French in small groups of 2 to 5 participants to learn to speak French in everyday situations.

Option 1: Online course with your teacher form Alliance Française :
Learn French from home with a teacher from the Alliance Française!

1 hour per day of language practice - oral comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar: fun activities to learn new vocabulary and expressions to communicate
1 hour per day of intensive speaking practice with a French language teacher

Option 2: Course in France:
Learn to speak French in France through language immersion:

2 hours of intensive French practice per day with your teacher
Progress in record time!

Our pedagogy is based on communicative practice of the language spoken in interaction in everyday situations. The emphasis is on oral comprehension and expression.

French immersion at the Alliance française of Montpellier:

20 general French lessons held in a small group of 5 to 12 participants(1 lesson = 45 minutes) . Up to 15 students per group during summer months.
Our interactive approach to teaching focuses on practising communicating in ordinary daily situations. The main priority is to improve your understanding and your ability to express yourself.

Welcoming services and Homestay accommodation with kitchen access:

Pick up at the train station or at the airport upon your arrival

A warm welcome in your host family in Montpellier

A cultural visit of the city of Montpellier on your first day

Accommodation details:
Single bedroom (12m², single bed, desk, storage space, wireless internet ...), shared bathroom with the family.
On the first evening, your host family will share a moment of conviviality with you over a welcome dinner. Your accommodation includes access to prepare your own meals and be more independent while you are enjoying your new life in Montpellier.
Once you are here you will be able to change your accommodation in order to have the freedom you have always dreamed of!

Our recommendation

Depending on your career plans, you may decide to complement your immersion in France with a internship, a preparation course for French examinations DELF/DALF , a Business French courses or a Preparation course for University studies...
You can also add activities and excursions to your stay.

Intensive Plus: French Language and Culture

Objectives:

Make rapid progress and perfect your ability to express, understand and communicate in general French in everyday situations thanks to our intensive French group course, 20 lessons per week, at the Alliance Francaise Montpellier.

Reinforce your French language skills with additional French workshops -6 extra individualized lessons of French to adress tour specific needs. Activities, contents and objectives are adapted to each participant learning French.

The language improvement workshops complement the intensive general French courses and allow specific individual work to reinforce your skills in oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression, phonetics and grammar.

The program in brief :

Organisation:

General French course of 20 lessons in small groups of 5 to 12 participants moderated by a teacher (up to 15 participants in summer)
Language development workshops in very small groups of 3 to 8 participants (up to 10 participants in the summer):
Workshops of 6 lessons per week are organised in 3 sessions of 2 lessons.
The skills of written comprehension, oral comprehension and written expression are the subject of individual work in autonomy (2 sessions). Oral expression and phonetics (1 session) are worked on in a small group animated by your teacher.

Our Recommendation:

The Intensive Plus course will help you make rapid progress. If you want total immersion in the French language and culture, why not opt to stay in a family home with half-board? That way, you'll be speaking French all day, every day, with guaranteed results!

Intensive French Course

Make progress learning French while also enjoying spare time in the mornings or afternoons to go exploring around the Montpellier region

Programme Overview:

20 general French lessons held in a small group of 5 to 12 participants. Improve your communication skills in French, both spoken and written.
Our interactive approach to teaching focuses on practising communicating in French in ordinary daily situations. The main priority of our French course is to improve your understanding and your ability to express yourself.
Content and activities: methodical approach to learning grammatical structures and vocabulary; discussion of everyday documents and news articles; communicative speaking and writing practice in specific communication situations.
